My SEO and Internet marketing experience includes search engine optimization (SEO), web content creation (website content, copywriting, articles, press releases, etc), web analytics, pay-per-click marketing, public relations (articles, press releases), media outreach and more.
Media & journalism experience
My media experience includes being an editor and reporter and I covered a variety of beats as a reporter, including business, politics, health, education, crime and more. I’ve written features, hard news, editorials and columns.
As a member of the Canadian Association of Journalists I’ve been able to make connections with a lot of interesting media people from across Canada. Journalists are always interesting to talk to!
Business experience
I’ve been self-employed and worked as an accountant. I’m an advocate for small- and medium-sized businesses, especially after having served as a director of a Chamber of Commerce for three years.
Education: journalism, public relations, accounting
I’m continually looking for ways to improve my skills. My education includes a bachelor of journalism (public relations major) from Thompson Rivers University. I have a diploma in accounting and finance and received my A.A.T. designation with the Certified Management Accountants Society.
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
We moved to Edmonton in 2008, bought a house and have no plans to move. I will certainly travel for work and pleasure. We find Edmonton to be a vibrant, friendly and interesting city.
