I would like to say thank you to everyone who’s responded to my blog post yesterday. It was not an easy day, as you’re well aware. I’ll definitely consider all the suggestions. Nobody suggested a witch doctor though. Any witch doctors in Edmonton? : ) It’s nice to know I have friends who care. That fact alone makes me feel better.
Despite a lousy sleep, today has gone well. My daughter went to school without complaint (none that I heard anyway). I got out of the house early to help out @adampatterson at nForm with some user experience testing. It was good to meet another person from Twitter.
I was happily delayed on my way to that meeting when my friend Patrycja tapped me on the back as I was feeding the greedy parking meters of Edmonton. It was nice to chat with her for a while and it didn’t seem that cold out.
I’ll be finishing the day on a bit of an unpleasant note though. Last week my trip to the dentist resulted in my appointment today. I may need a root canal on the tooth that has been bothering me for the past few weeks. Oh joy. The benefit is that I will be able to eliminate one of the two mercury fillings in my mouth by ridding myself of that tooth.
The big question is, do I get the tooth capped with a white composite or gold? Apparently the gold is about the same price. Fortunately I have a dental plan! And if I’m going to go with gold, should I just get the whole grill done? Bling! That would be really hilarious… for about a day. The shock value would be priceless.
I’ve been to the dentist many times and it doesn’t bother me that much. This will be a new process though. Fortunately all my other teeth are in great shape. Today I could even replace that other filling with a composite, but I don’t feel like being there too long today.
Anyone ever had a root canal? Got any horror stories you can tell me before I go in? I’ll read them after. Haha!
