Have to say, never been to QE pool before today and I love, love, love, love the change rooms. I knew it a second
it had to have been of European design and I am so please with it. This will be our permanent summer pool. I took my son (8) and my niece (7) and was absolutely delighted with the thought and planning and design of this
structure. Sorry, but I just don't buy the "Lifeguards point of view", I am wiling to bet 100.00 he has no kids and is not a parent.

I sincerely hope all facilities change over to this design. Waaaaaay better from this parent's perspective.

Here's another perspective, from someone who was and is an lifeguard at an Edmonton pool: The Unisex Change Room Debate – the view of a Lifeguard. He raises some very good points about why it might not be such a good idea, from the point of view of a staff member.

While family-style change rooms are definitely convenient for a lot of people, I don't think it's necessarily ideal to eliminate the men's and women's changing room. That said, I haven't seen the plans, so it's tough to say whether it will work or not.
