jon-lajoieEver since I started up my new blog, I’ve been a little writing-obsessed. You haven’t seen all the posts yet, but they’ll eventually come out. You don’t want to be flooded do you?

As I’d mentioned before, I have blogged quite extensively before. In the last year or so I haven’t blogged on my own sites so much. It’s mostly been work related. I don’t mind, but my own body of work has really suffered. Along with writing for myself again, my musical interest is also growing.

Commercial music: Said the Whale

No, I’m not a musician. I’ve just been hearing really good music on commercials. Thank God for the Internet! Usually one search is all it takes to figure out what that cool song was. My latest obsession is the Sun-Rype commercial.

I discovered it’s a band called Said the Whale, which just happens to be Canadian. Of course Said the Whale is on Myspace too. There’s so much great music that comes out of Vancouver! I miss living in Vancouver sometimes. I certainly wouldn’t miss the mortgage payment or cracker-box apartment I’d be living in though.

Don’t be so serious: laugh!

I also discovered comedian Jon Lajoie on YouTube. He really cracks me up. This guy has a pretty good singing voice too. Listen to High as F&*k and you’ll see what I mean (the look on the dog’s face is hilarious). If you don’t like edgy topics or a bit of swearing, don’t bother. I think the first thing I’d seen by him was Rapist Glasses. This one is funny too.

I am writing this post on Sunday Afternoon. Another hilarious one. The guy at the end of the video makes me laugh every time.
