At the end of the week (my birthday. Hint. Hint.) is Macewan BlogCamp on Friday April 3. It’s a big event promoting the MacEwan School of Business. It’s a nine hour blogathon where the students are competing for a bunch of prizes including a MacBook.

It’s pretty cool and I think the most interesting part is that the public will decide who the winner is. You can vote on each blog post, giving it a thumbs up or thumbs down. That’s going to determine the winner, and you can also comment on the posts. It runs from noon Mtn. time to 9 p.m.

It’s been consuming a lot of everyone’s time at fusedlogic, one of the companies I work with. So, if you’re interested, check it out online at MacEwan BlogCamp, or come down to the City Centre Campus in downtown Edmonton. It should be a blast!

Is it spring in Edmonton yet?

I have been waiting and waiting to get out on my scooter, but Edmonton’s unusually long winter has been thwarting my desires.

I could be out now, but I’m going to wait until it warms up a bit more, there’s less water on the streets, the gravel has been cleaned up to an extent and some of the potholes are filled.

The potholes here are so bad, I’ve seen small cars swallowed by them. The traffic keeps on going too, as the roof of the car makes a decent road surface.

I have seen a few motorcycles out there, but I can wait a little longer. The other issue I have is about 8 inches of slush in my alley. That would be interesting trying to get my scooter through that. I’m giving it about a week.
